Mrs. Burstrom

My name is Laura Burstrom, and I have been teaching at the elementary level for many years. I began as a special education teacher at the Belmont BOCES Center in Belmont, NY. After two years, I came to the Jamestown School District as a special education teacher. Five years later, I transferred to an elementary classroom and have been there ever since.

I love teaching and being involved in many activities at Lincoln School. I have been the PARP (Pick a Reading Partner) coordinator for many years. I am also the co-leader of the PBIS Tier 2 team and the coordinator of our yearly PBIS t-shirt sale.

I graduated from Falconer Central School in 1985. From there I attended Jamestown Community College for two years and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Special Education and Elementary Education from SUNY Geneseo in 1989. I also have a master’s degree in Reading from SUNY Fredonia.

I live in Falconer with my husband, Knut, and son. I also have two grown daughters.
