Welcome to the 2019-2020 School Year!
Dear Families and Staff,
I am honored to start this school year as the new Jamestown High School principal. I have met many of you already and look forward to meeting all of you throughout this year. As my administrative team and I are busy preparing for our students to start, please know that I have high expectations for this year. I will focus this year on three essential aspects of school communities.
- Student safety. I will be looking for all the ways we can keep our children safe and make sure safety is everyone's top priority. Thank you for your patience as we make decisions that might inconvenience a few to keep everyone in our school safe.
- Building relationships. Getting to know all of you- adults and students, and what each of you do to help our JHS community grow and learn- helps us build on all the wonderful things we already have.
- Communication. We have so much going on that having the information you need is essential. Staff will receive a weekly newsletter and families will receive a monthly newsletter either through email or remind. Dates where I will be available for families to meet with me, as well as other important information, will be shared in these newsletters.
Families: if you have any concerns, please begin by contacting your child's teacher or school counselor. After that you can contact the administrator assigned to your child's grade. I will be happy to hear from you and in order to help you quickly, I will usually point you to those individuals first.
Everyone, thank you for being part of this wonderful school community. I am thrilled to be part of it.
