  • Where and when will breakfast and lunch be provided for students who attend school only in the morning or afternoon?

    Elementary School 

    • Elementary students who attend the morning session (Group A) will be provided with two meals at dismissal, including a bagged lunch for the current day and a bagged breakfast for the following day.
    • Elementary students who attend the afternoon session (Group B) will be provided with two meals at dismissal, including a bagged breakfast and lunch for the following day.
    • On Thursdays, elementary students will receive four meals at dismissal, including lunch for Thursday & Friday and breakfast for Friday & Monday.

    Middle & High Schools

    • Students in grades 5-9 who attend in-person on alternating days (Groups A and B) will be provided with two meals at dismissal, including a bagged lunch for the current day and a bagged breakfast for the following day.
    • On each day that students attend remote learning, including Friday, students may pick up two meals to include a bagged lunch for the day, and bagged breakfast for the following day. Meals must be picked up at each student’s school of enrollment.
    • Students in grades 10-12 who attend by remote learning only (Group D) can pick up meals at the high school. Designated days and times for meal pick up will be posted to our school website at http://jpsny.org/mealinfo. Parents may pick up meals for enrolled children only, and documentation will be required.

    Where and when will breakfast and lunch be provided for students who attend school for a full day?

    All students who attend in-person for the full day (Group C) will be provided with lunch during the day and a bagged breakfast to be consumed at home prior to the arrival at school the next day. On Thursdays, students will receive three meals at dismissal, including breakfast & lunch for Friday and breakfast for Monday.

    Where and when will breakfast and lunch be provided for students K-12 who attend school only by distance learning?

    Students who attend only by remote learning will be able to pick up meals on designated days and times, to be published on the JPS website and social media. Meals must be picked up at each student’s school of enrollment. Parents may pick up meals for enrolled children only, and documentation will be required. 

    Will meals be delivered to my home if I cannot pick them up?

    Students or parents may pick up meals at the student’s school of enrollment. We regret we are unable to offer meal delivery.

    Who is eligible to receive school meals?

    All students enrolled in Jamestown Public Schools are eligible for free breakfast and lunch.
