Lauren Scharf -- Director
Miss Lauren Scharf is the Director of Choral Activities at Jamestown High School, which includes the A Cappella Choir, Madrigal Singers, Men of Tomorrow, Ladies of Today, and Mixed Chorus. She has been the Director of the Jamestown High School Musical for the past 5 years. Miss Scharf received her Master’s Degree in Music Education from SUNY Fredonia and her Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam. She is pursuing a Master's Degree in Theatre Direction from Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois.
Past production credits include Director: Fiddler on the Roof (JHS) A Little More Homework: a musical revue (JHS), Once Upon A Mattress (JHS), The Drowsy Chaperone (JHS), Guys and Dolls (JHS), Shrek Jr. (Persell Middle School), Seussical (JHS), and HONK! Jr. (Persell Middle School), Vocal Director: The Little Mermaid (JHS), and Bye, Bye Birdie (JHS). Her performance credits include Disenchanted (Snow White), Last Five Years (Cathy), Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey), Les Miserables (Ensemble), and Legally Blonde (Vivienne Kensington).
Jennie Cross - Choreographer
Jennie Cross is a graduate of Jamestown Public Schools and is now a music teacher at Love Elementary School. Miss Cross received her bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Mercyhurst University with a concentration in flute and a minor in theatre. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Teaching Excellence through Mercyhurst University. She has choreographed for shows at Mercyhurst University, Jamestown Community College, the Lucille Ball Little Theatre, Jamestown High School, Falconer High School, the Chautauqua Institution Voice Program, and Maple Grove High School.
Past performance credits include Disenchanted (Cinderella), Curtains (Nikki), West Side Story, The Producers, The Drowsy Chaperone (Kitty), Cabaret (Helga), Anything Goes (Hope), Legally Blonde (Serena), Cinderella (Cinderella).
