Jamestown is proud to boast one of the premier athletic facilities in all of New York State.  Most of our outdoor athletic facilities are located at Jefferson Middle School.  This facility includes Strider Field (home of football, soccer and track), which had new artificial turf and 8-lane track installed in 2017.  In addition, this facility also includes a grass soccer stadium, 2 newly renovated baseball fields and 2 newly renovated softball fields as well as practice fields.  J.H.S. also hosts our cross country meets at this location.

Jamestown High School is the home of the Red Raider basketball teams, who compete at James McElrath Gymnasium, also known as “The Mac,” one of the best gyms in Western New York.  Our volleyball team also competes at The Mac as well.  J.H.S. is also the location of the pool, wrestling gym, tennis courts, and an expanded weight room with state-of-the-art equipment for our student-athletes.
