Ms. Christina Spontaneo
Educators have the opportunity to make a huge impact on students, but with that opportunity comes many challenges. Where can teachers turn for support?
This school year, I began my fourth year as a district-wide instructional coach for Jamestown Public Schools. Prior to taking on this role, I taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades at Samuel G. Love School. I started my work in education many years ago as a paraprofessional at Jefferson Middle School. It was then that I discovered my passion for working with children.
The experiences I have had over the past 26 years, have given me tremendous joy and provided me with keen insights into the struggles faced by teachers on a daily basis.
Working as an Instructional Coach
My role as an instructional coach enables me to work with teachers and support them in their professional growth. Some areas of support that I provide include:
- Jamestown Public Schools' K-6 Math and ELA Communities of Practice
- Joint Lesson Planning
- Data-Driven Instruction
- Lesson Studies
- PLC Teams
- Professional Development
- Instructional Strategies
- Cooperative Learning
- Co-teaching Lesson
- Classroom Management
