Mr. Trevor Hitchcock

My name is Trevor Hitchcock and I am a second-grade teacher here at M.J. Fletcher Elementary School.  I have been teaching for 25 years.  I began my career as a Fifth Grade Teacher at Jefferson Middle School.  I then transferred to R.R. Rogers Elementary School, where I taught first grade for 17 years.  When Rogers closed, I came to M.J.Fletcher, and have been here for the last eight years.

I am married and have two sons. My oldest just graduated from  Buffalo State College with a degree in middle school and high school social studies education.  He is substitute teaching right now with the goal of becoming a middle school or high school social studies teacher and my youngest is a senior at JHS and will graduate this June 2020!  I also have a dog and a cat at home.  In school, you will see my many fish tanks filled with goldfish, African-Clawed Frogs and guppies!

I am also a Peer Coach here at Fletcher.  As a peer coach, I work with other teachers in the building and across the district, helping them with lots of different aspects of their jobs.

Thanks to all the teachers I work with and have collaborated with over the past 25 years, including Chris Emley, Shannon Osborne, Teresa Isabella, and Jennifer Schrader.

Thank you, Tracy, for all the work we have done together with lesson planning!  Working together has been very beneficial and I can't thank you enough for everything.  I look forward to our future partnership.
