    2018-2019 Kindergarten SMART Goals:

    ELA NWEA Reading Goal

    • End of the year goal (June 2019): 80% of kindergarten students will reach their projected growth in reading on the NWEA Map Growth assessment.

    ELA Sub Goals

    Skills – Letters/Sounds

    • By November 16th, 80% of students will be able to identify at least 88% (15/17) of the first 17 letter sounds taught including: m, a, t, d, o, c, g, i, n, h, s, f, v, z, p, e (K.RF.3a) as assessed using the CKLA Kindergarten Skills Screener.
    • By February 5th, 80% of SWBAT identify 80% of the 26 letter sounds associated with the symbols for the 26 lowercase letters as measured by the Marie Clay alphabet assessment. (K.RF.3a)
    • By April 18th, 80% of SWBAT identify 80% of the 26 letter sounds and 52 letter names taught as measured by the Marie Clay alphabet assessment. (K.RF.3a) (K.RF.1d)
    • By June 7th, 80% of SWBAT identify 100% of the 26 letter sounds and 52 letter names taught as measured by the Kindergarten Alphabet CFA. (K.RF.3a) (K.RF.1d)

    Skills Strand SMART Goal

    • By November 16th, at least 50% of students will be able to read at least 80% of CVC words on CKLA Kindergarten Skills Screener for Unit 4. (K.RF.3) 
    • By January 25th, at least 70% of our students will be able to read read at least 80% of CVC words on CKLA Kindergarten Skills Screener for Unit 5. (K.RF.3)
    • By April 5th, at least 50% be able to read at least 80% of words with digraphs on CKLA Kindergarten Skills Screener for Unit 7. (K.RF.3)
    • By June 2018, at least 80% of students will be able to read at least 80% of words with digraphs on CKLA Kindergarten Skills Screener for Unit 7. (K.RF.3)

    PASI SMART Goal

    • By October 2nd, all kindergarten classrooms will have collected baseline data for the PASI screener. (K.RF.2)
    • By January 4th, at least 70% of kindergarten students will be working on skill 5 or higher as determined by the PASI screener. (K.RF.2)
    • By April 2nd, at least 70% of kindergarten students will be working on skill 7 or higher as determined by the PASI screener. (K.RF.2)

     

    NWEA Math Goal

    • End of the year goal (June 2019): 80% of kindergarten students will reach their projected growth in math on the NWEA Map Growth assessment.

    Math Sub Goals

    Number Identification and Writing 0-5

    • By September 18th, baseline data will be collected using the Kindergarten Math CFA 1.
    • By November 30th, 80% of students will be able to write numbers 0-5.
    • By November 30th, 80% of students will be able to recognize the numbers 0-5 as measured by the Kindergarten Math CFA 1. (K.CC.1)

    Number Identification and Writing 0-10

    • By September 18th, baseline data will be collected using the Kindergarten Math CFA 1.
    • By January 11th, 80% of students will be able to identify and write numbers 0-10 as measured by the Kindergarten Math CFA 1. (K.CC.1)

    Addition and Subtraction within 5  

    • By November 30th, baseline addition and subtraction data will be collected using the Kindergarten Addition and Subtraction CFA. (K.OA.5)
    • By March 12th, at least 70% of students will be able to add within 5 based on an 80% score on the Kindergarten Addition and Subtraction CFA. (K.OA.5)
    • By March 12th, at least 50% of students will be able to subtract within 5 based on an 80% score on the Kindergarten Addition and Subtraction CFA. (K.OA.5)
    • By June 14th, at least 80% of students will be able to add within 5 based on an 80% score on the Kindergarten Addition and Subtraction CFA. (K.OA.5)
    • By June 14th, at least 70% of students will be able to subtract within 5 based on an 80% score on the Kindergarten Addition and Subtraction CFA. (K.OA.5)
