Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Katie Rambacher

Welcome to First Grade!!! The day we have all been waiting for is finally here. I am very excited to meet all of my new students. If you have any questions or need anything please feel free to ask me. I look forward to working with you as we watch your child grow academically, emotionally, and socially.

Get to know me, Mrs. Rambacher:

  • I was born and raised in Jamestown, NY and am a 1996 graduate of JHS!
  • This is my 16th year teaching for Jamestown Schools. Previously I have taught special education in Cleveland, Ohio and kindergarten in Greenville, South Carolina.
  • I received my undergraduate degree from Baldwin Wallace University in Cleveland and my master’s through University of Phoenix.
  • I have two boys, Michael who will be in 4th grade and Matthew who will be in 1st grade.
  • In the future I plan to continue my education.       I am always willing to learn professionally and grow as a teacher.

Now let’s get down to business:

  • The “Take-Home” folder will be sent home with your child daily. The folder is labeled with two sides “Keep Home” and “Bring Back.”       Please make sure to check your child’s folder and return it to school EVERYDAY!
  • I ask that your child have a backpack to keep up with his/her belongings.
  • A supply list should have been given to you last year with report cards. But incase you did not receive one, attached is a copy of the supplies and materials your child will need for first grade.
  • Attached is a copy of our classroom rules and expectations. Please take a look at this and discuss the importance of it with your child.       Send it back with your child tomorrow.
  • If you are on Facebook, please search and like the page “Rambacher’s Buzzing Bees.” I will share information and photos of fun activities in our classroom.
  • First grade is a year of growth. I encourage you to work with your child at home to ensure their academic success. You will be hearing from me weekly to give you ideas and suggestions of activities to practice with your child. Again, the best thing to do is, read to your child everyday!

Thank you for sharing your child with me. During the next few months, we will see him/her grow and develop by leaps and bounds. I am looking forward to helping your child be the best he/she can be!
