Mrs. Cook

My name is Mary Cook, and I have been teaching at the elementary level for many years.  My career started in 1989 when I was hired as a 5th and 6th grade teacher in Little Valley, New York.  After several years, I made a move to Jamestown Public Schools and taught 4th grade at S.G. Love School.  I am currently a 2nd grade teacher at Abraham Lincoln Elementary School.

I am very involved in our school and school district.  I am the membership chairperson for the Lincoln PTA.  I serve on the Leadership Team and the PBIS team.  I also help with Lincoln's annual PARP program.  At the district level, I am the secretary of the Jamestown Teachers Association.

I am an alumnus of Jamestown High School, graduating in 1984.  While attending JHS, I played the violin and the French horn. After graduating, I attended Jamestown Community College and then transferred to SUNY Oswego where I received a degree in Elementary Education.  I received a Masters Degree from SUNY Fredonia and an SBL Certification from Gannon University.

I live in Kiantone with my husband, Randy.  We have two adult sons, Zachary and Adam Stahlsmith.
