About Ms. Weaver...

  • Hello, and welcome to my web page.  I am from the Ohio Valley in Southern Indiana.   I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English, a Master of Arts in English and journalism, a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership, an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership,  all from Ball State University; and a graduate certificate in TESOL from Niagara University.

I taught in Indiana for twenty years, where I taught all levels of high school English and advised publications and taught feeder journalism classes and photography.   I moved to New York in 2005.  Once here, I taught at Hamburg Central, Buffalo Public, and Jamestown.  I have also taught at Indiana University, Miami (of Ohio), Daemen College, Houghton College, and Niagara County Community College.  In colleges and universities, I have taught English of all levels from developmental to advanced research writing, including some courses online.  In Jamestown, I am a Teacher of English to Speakers of Other Languages.

I have two grown sons, Mike and Dave, and one daughter, Allie.  I have two mastiffs, Seamus and Sicily.  They are very large and VERY spoiled.  They are also brother and sister.

I look forward to working with your child this school year.  You should always feel free to contact me with questions or concerns for what is happening in my class at school.  I am happy to help in any way I can.

    Best regards...

    Ms. Weaver
