Art classes are taught by Mrs. Jessica Harvey. Students in grades K-4 attend art class for 1 hour each week for half the school year. Lincoln has art during Quarter 2 and Quarter 4.  Using a variety of materials and techniques, students will develop their art skills using elements such as line, form, and texture applying such principles as contrast, balance, and pattern. Students are also taught techniques to improve their problem solving and creative problem solving skills. Student art is on display in the Board of Education area at Jefferson Middle School and at the Annual District Wide Art Show. Please send a large, old shirt for your child to use a smock to protect his/her clothing. Encourage your child to create, paint, and view art at every opportunity.
