The minimum requirements for graduation are determined by the New York State Education Department, with additional requirements established by the District. In order for students to graduate, they must earn at least 22 credits. Additionally, students graduating with a Regents Diploma are required to pass four regents exams: Algebra I, ELA, Living Environment OR Earth Science, Global History OR US History.
Jamestown High School also offers two Advanced Diplomas:
- Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation - awarded to students who scucessfully complete a college and career readiness program of study, including additional courses in mathematics, science, and foreign language.
- Academic Advanced Diploma - awarded to students who successfully complete the most rigorous program of study available, including a mimium of three Advanced Placement courses and related examinations.
