Mrs. Homan

I started working in the Jamestown City School District in 2002 as a reading teacher at S. G. Love Elementary School. I transferred to Abraham Lincoln Elementary School in 2003 when the UPK class opened. I am honored to be able to create a fun and engaging first school experience for our youngest students.

I enjoy sharing a love of books and reading with my class. I am always impressed by how much my students learn and grow during a school year. While much of my training has been in reading, I enjoy teaching all the subject areas. I love to help my students represent their world by creating art projects, building structures, and exploring a variety of materials. I strive to create a peaceful classroom community where we respect one another and learn to resolve conflicts. I care deeply about all my students and am grateful for the trust that families place in me to be their children's teacher.

I live “out in the country” near Stedman with my family. I have two boys, ages 15 and 17. They attend Chautauqua Lake Central School. In my free time I enjoy reading, practicing yoga, and spending time on the Allegheny River.
