Ms. Noody
Hello! Welcome to my website!
Well, it's 2021 and this school year marks my 32th year teaching Science! I am a true and proud LOBO at heart, and attended Washington Jr. High from 1976-1979. While I was a student at Wash, I was an active member of the PEP club, yearbook club, students council, art club and went to all of the dances and most football games. I encourage my students to GET INVOLVED in extra curricular activities at school!
I believe in a hands-on approach to teaching science, along with a challenging curriculum and high behavioral expectations. I want my students to appreciate and understand the natural world so much that they care enough to help save it! My classroom and lab is a safe place for learning, exploration, helping others, and using manners. We have our moments of humor and fun, and might pause to look at a cool bird outside, or help a spider find it's way out the window, but then we get right back down to business.
My favorite thing to do in my free time is to spend time with my family and friends. For exercise, I enjoy walking, hiking, riding my bike, and swimming in the pool in the summer. I like to play cards, scrabble and trivia. I collect fairies and think sea otters are the cutest things ever! My favorite job besides teaching was being the Easter Bunny at Chautauqua Mall. To relax, I love going to the movies and going out for some great ethnic food. I love all genres of music, and root for the Pittsburgh Steelers. My dream is to travel to many places - the Pacific Northwest and Greece are at the top of my list.
