Hi there! My name is Samantha Carroll and I am a counselor here at Persell Middle School. This is my 1st year at Persell and I am super excited for the upcoming school year! I will be working on teaching social-emotional strategies with students both in and out of the classroom.

I love being a school counselor and enjoy my interactions with students, staff and parents. My responsibilities include conducting individual counseling, running social skills groups, teaching classroom guidance lessons, and dealing with various situations that arise throughout the school day. It is my goal to help every child learn the social-emotional skills that they need to be able to overcome obstacles and challenges.

Before coming to Persell, I attended Lock Haven University where I recieved my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. Afterwards, I obtained my Master's Degree in School Counseling at St. Bonaventure University.

In my free time I enjoy being outdoors hiking, skiing, cross country skiing, and kayaking with my husband and 2 dogs. I also enjoy tending to our garden, taking care of the animals on my farm as well being a beekeeper!
