Mr. Alex Kyler
Hello everyone! Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year!
I am Mr. Kyler and this is my first year at JHS teaching Social Studies. Previously, I have worked at Salamanca High School and Seneca Intermediate as a Navigator of the Liberty Partnerships Program through Jamestown Community College! Liberty Partnerships Program is a wonderful asset to any school and, fortunately, JHS has one as well! In addition to working at Salamanca, I was an Assistant Coach of their bowling team, and the Boys Varsity Head Coach of Tennis!
I graduated from Frewsburg CSD where I played Tennis, Bowling, and was a State Representative in Trapshooting! Directly following my high school days, I attended Jamestown Community College and received my Associates in Adolescent Education (Social Studies) in 2019 and my Bachelors of the same degree at SUNY Fredonia in Spring of 2021. I had six straight Deans List semesters during my college tenure. I received the Excellence in Student Teaching award at Fredonia and was Cum Laude during my time at Fredonia. I am a current Graduate Student at SUNY Fredonia.
I have had field experience teaching at JHS (with Mr. Hall) in 2018, Southwestern HS in 2019, Washington Middle School in 2020, and my final student teaching placements at JHS (with Mrs. Conti) and Maple Grove HS in 2021. I am looking forward to meeting all of you and spending my first year as a teacher here where it all began for me in college!
Utilize Google Classroom to navigate my class throughout the school year. Feel free to email me with any questions! alex.m.kyler@jpsny.org
