Filled with dance parties, DIY crafts, and nutritious food, Jamestown Public Schools recently hosted a series of vibrant family nights at Bush, Jefferson, and Ring schools, drawing an impressive turnout of students and parents involved in each building’s after-school programs. 

For more than a century, Jamestown Public Schools has built a premier instrumental music program — one that crescendos at Jamestown High School, but begins much earlier.

Jamestown High School will present “The Pirates of Penzance” on Thursday, March 12, and Friday, March 13 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, March 14 at 2 and 7 p.m. in the Merton P. Corwin Auditorium of JHS, at 350 E. 2nd Street.

For Ashley Cruz, the hallways of Washington Middle School are more than just a place of work — they are home. Now in her sixth year with Jamestown Public Schools and her second at Washington, Cruz brings a unique perspective to her fifth-grade classroom: she once walked these same halls as a student.
