The institute is helping students like Santizo Soto not only discover the power of their voices, but also their power as leaders. Advised by ENL teacher Korrin Mundo and supported by ENL teacher Dr. Faith Graham, the program connects students with peers from across New York State to explore civic engagement, leadership, and public service.

Jamestown High School students had the opportunity to learn from one of the nation’s most celebrated authors recently, as English classes welcomed Newbery Medalist, Emmy Award winner, and No. 1 New York Times bestselling author Kwame Alexander.

JHS Battle of the Classes

The 45th annual Jamestown High School Battle of the Classes will take place on Wednesday, April 1 in the McElrath Gymnasium at 6:30 p.m. Proceeds from the annual competition will benefit the Kids & Sibs Summer Camp.
