Jamestown High School’s production of The Pirates of Penzance struck gold Saturday evening at the Shea's Wonder Awards at Shea's Performing Arts Center, “sailing away” as the top high school musical theater production in Western New York while capturing three honors and $5,500 in grant funding for the school’s musical theater program.

Jamestown Public Schools administrators, food service staff, and representatives from Young & Wright Architectural and Turner Construction officially cut the ribbon on the renovated Jamestown High School cafeteria on May 12 in a ceremony immediately following the school day. 

Approximately 2,500 Jamestown Public Schools elementary students and middle school students at Jefferson Middle School will bring home a copy of James and the Giant Peach and begin reading it with their families and classes on Monday, May 11.

S.G. Love Elementary School celebrated Earth Day on April 22 with a special dedication of its first “buddy bench.”
