District Safety Plan
In accordance with state regulations, school districts are required to develop District-Wide School Safety Plans, in conjunction with Building Level Emergency Response Plans. District-Wide School Safety Plans are comprehensive, district-wide plans that provide broad concepts, policies and procedures, including the number and types of safety drills to be completed each year. The plan outlines the District’s response to threats of violence and must be approved by the Board of Education following the opportunity for public review and comment.

2026-27 District Safety Plan Open Comment Period
The public is encouraged to review and comment on the Jamestown City Schools District-Wide School Safety Plan for the 2026-27 school year.

The District-Wide School Safety Plan is open for public comment until August 25, 2026. Following the public comment period, the plan will be presented to the Board of Education for approval.
