The Jamestown Board of Education approved the appointment of Renee Garrett as the new Director of Human Resources at its last meeting. Mrs. Garrett will take over the position from John Panebianco, who is retiring.
“Renee did an amazing job throughout the interview process, and was the top candidate that emerged,” said JPS Superintendent Dr. Kevin Whitaker. “Her extensive experience in education, her experience in understanding and navigating educational systems as well as her understanding of the importance of relationships and human resource protocols played an important part in her selection. I am very much looking forward to welcoming her to JPS as she begins her work with us very soon.”

“I’m so thankful for the good fortune to be a part of Jamestown Public Schools,” said Mrs. Garrett. “I can’t tell you how grateful I am to be joining the Jamestown Public Schools team. Everyone I have met has been extremely welcoming and I already feel so appreciated. This is such a great opportunity. I’m excited for a change and ready for the next chapter to begin. In my new role as Director of Human Resources, I look forward to developing strong relationships with the union leaders of the district. It’s been my experience that understanding culture is critical. I can’t wait to get to know the Jamestown staff.”
