How long have you worked for JPS? (Please note if there were other buildings or other roles that you served in)
I started working as a classroom teacher for JPS at Bush school in 2005. Prior to that I was a long term substitute at Love school and at Persell. I had been a student teacher at Lincoln and Love school and absolutely loved being part of the JPS family.
What brought you to JPS?
Applying for a teaching career with JPS was my goal for as long as I can remember. I wasn't interested in applying anywhere else! I am a product of the Jamestown Public Schools starting from my days as a Kindergartener at Ring all the way to becoming a JHS graduate. Our diverse district promoted creativity, prepared me for college, taught me the importance of collaboration and inspired me to continue my education to become a teacher.
What’s been the highlight of your career?
There have been many highlights, but I'd say overall it's been incredibly fulfilling to know I'm helping to influence children in their education and, hopefully, I can 'be the light' when they need it most.
What’s your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of the job is not only working with great colleagues but seeing children growing and learning everyday.
